TRAINING

Nestled in the south of France is the small town of Lescar, home to Pride’s widely recognized Lescar Training Center. The training facility has provided training for Pride and it’s subsidiaries since 1977.

The Lescar Facility has a DS 500 Rig Floor simulator, three class rooms and a fully functioning land rig with a 3000’ well to use when teaching well control courses, which are certified through the I.W.C.F. and through the IADC.

Alain Jost, Lescar Training Manager, and his team teach many classes including courses in Well Control, Safety, Leadership, Maximo and other Safety and Maintenance programs as needed. The ability to develop other classes to keep pace with the company’s activities and advances in technology adds to the value of the facility.

Various groups, including over 3,000 employees, have been trained in Safety Leadership, Basic Drilling, Electrical certification, Forklift Driver and Derrickman courses. The requirements of the International Maritime Organization (IMO), STCW 95 and Marpol Pollution conventions are addressed and met in these and other classes.
